Kyoshima
Overview
Kyoshima is an island on the planet Syndarion and also the name of its capital city. It is known for its mild climate, calm sea and relaxed way of life.
The island contains inhabited coastal regions, small settlements and wealthy estates surrounded by extensive gardens. Frequent rainfall keeps the vegetation dense and the landscape green.
Kyoshima City
The city of Kyoshima is built along the island's coast. It has a large harbour with considerable traffic from fishing and passenger vessels.
Its streets are well designed, and the broad pavements are ideal for long walks. Quiet suburbs spread beyond the city centre, with detached houses, small gardens and tree-lined streets.
A lighthouse on the opposite headland guides vessels approaching the harbour. Its light can be seen from much of the coastal city, particularly during rainy nights.
Economy and Daily Life
The economy of Kyoshima is connected to fishing, maritime transport and the operation of its harbour. Passenger vessels connect the island with other regions of Syndarion.
The city is considered a peaceful and pleasant place to live. Its sea, gardens and mild climate attract wealthy families, although Kyoshima has retained the character of an active island community.
Notable Residents
Isao Takanashi lives in a quiet suburb of Kyoshima, in a modest detached house with a small garden and a shaded pavilion.
Lord Hiro Sorakami owns an estate on the island with extensive gardens and a view of the sea. He often walks through the streets of the city and visits his friend Isao Takanashi.
