Syndara

Overview

Syndara is the solar system in which the planet Syndarion is located. The system received its name from the designation assigned by the Explorers during its initial survey.

Syndarion is the third planet of the system and is listed as Syndara-3 in astronomical records. This designation is used almost exclusively in scientific data and navigation systems.

Amateru

Amateru is the star of the Syndara system. Its powerful light illuminates Syndarion and its satellites and reflects brightly from the surfaces of vessels travelling through the system.

The name Amateru predates the designation assigned by the Explorers and was preserved by the inhabitants of Syndarion.

Planets

Syndara-3 is the inhabited planet Syndarion and the political centre of the system.

Syndara-4 is an enormous and entirely lethal celestial body. Conditions on its surface do not permit human presence without specialized protection. Its immense size makes it easily visible from vessels travelling through the outer regions of the system.

The other planets of Syndara are identified in astronomical records by the numerical order of their orbits.

Kurotani

Kurotani is a dark, rocky satellite of Syndarion. It has no atmosphere, and its surface is covered with craters, deep ravines and steep formations.

The side illuminated by Amateru receives harsh, unobstructed light, while the regions lying in shadow remain submerged in absolute darkness.
