Calveris-10
Overview
Calveris-10 was one of the most important commercial and passenger hubs of Sorestia dedicated to the god Calveris patron of trade and travel.
It held a stable orbit around the planet Yelmar and served as a junction for ships traveling between the worlds of the Sorestian Empire and toward its outer boundaries.
From a distance the station looked like two touching cones a metallic spinning top turning endlessly in the darkness of space. Its rotating rings generated artificial gravity and were linked by internal stairways elevators and tubular arteries of light.
At its two tips lay the communications and relay sections where the entire imperial beacon network synchronized with the flow of traffic.

Structure and Layout
Calveris-10 functioned less as a station and more as a floating city. The main rings housed staff districts visitor quarters a hospital a barracks technical academies and a large temple dedicated to the Heptad with a special chamber for Calveris where travelers placed coins before departure.
At the center of the station stretched a commercial and leisure complex with markets restaurants small merchant residences and meeting halls. The upper rings held cargo warehouses repair platforms and maintenance stations for every class of vessel. Hover lane corridors separated commercial from military zones with clear security boundaries and controlled access.
The outer bastions reinforced with heavy alloys and defensive fields included gun batteries and fortified control towers. Two of these stood near the communications nodes guarding the primary beacon channels.
The corridors carried a constant blend of sound mechanical hums announcements pressure system hisses and the low vibration of generators running without pause.
Operations and Significance
The docks of Calveris-10 were the starting or ending point of thousands of routes. Freight passenger and military ships arrived and departed in a continual cycle often waiting in orbit for approach clearance.
The station’s operation was vital to the cohesion of the imperial economy since nearly every trade stream passed directly or indirectly through its platforms.
Its flight management service was regarded as a model of technical excellence. The central control chamber in the mid ring was a curved cavity with panoramic views of space lined with consoles holo displays and arrival boards. There technicians coordinated arrivals departures cargo and routes with ritual like precision.
Defense
Station security fell under the Imperial Navy. Four imperial battle cruisers patrolled the region forming an invisible barrier around the station and the nearby beacon. Military officers considered Calveris-10 the key of trade currents often calling it the shrine of Calveris a meeting point for the commerce winds of the empire.
Cultural Notes
Sailors and merchants honored the god Calveris before every journey believing he wandered among the stations blessing those who carried goods without deceit. Many left small offerings or parchment slips with names of loved ones at the temple altar seeking protection and favorable photon corridors.
Veteran travelers called Calveris-10 the House of Trade a place where the voices of all peoples met. In its markets one could find almost anything rare metals synthetic fragrances foods from distant worlds and mechanical parts from Sorestian factories.
Atmosphere
Despite constant noise and movement Calveris-10 had an almost organic rhythm. Generator light breathed through the metallic corridors and the sensation of motion never ceased. It was a station that lived worked and prayed suspended in darkness devoted to the god who blesses those who travel.
Notes
Calveris-10 stood as a symbol of imperial connectivity and spiritual continuity where commerce engineering and devotion converged into a single orbiting world.
