Koren Varekh

Overview

Koren Varekh was the founder of the Kastran regime and the intellectual origin of the ideology known as Varekhism.

He was born in Sanctheim and served as a Votar of the Order of the One before being exiled by the OTO for heretical teachings.

After his exile he fled to Kastran, where he wrote “The Unity of Matter”, a work that became the theoretical foundation of the planet’s state structure.

He taught that the god of the Order of the One is not a being but a mechanism, and that true social unity can be achieved only through absolute organization.

At the core of his thought lies the claim that individual freedom is a form of illness, and that human salvation is found in complete submission to the whole.

His doctrine transformed the theocratic dogma of the OTO into a political program of material unity, leading to a closed state system with total control over production and daily life.

Varekh disappeared a few years after the regime on Kastran was founded. His followers claim he left because he reached a higher level of understanding, while other accounts suggest an internal purge, so the ideology could remain useful without its creator.

Despite his disappearance, his figure is still revered on Kastran as “The First Thinker”, and his name functions as a symbol that legitimizes the regime.
